Join us at our next event – Saturday, April 2, 2016
This is a 21 and over event only – no one under the age of 21 will be admitted.
Coming back on Saturday, April 2, 2016 it’s the Beerwood Derby!
A benefit for Boy Scout Troop #1, the Beerwood Derby is similar to the Pinewood Derby…. except for grownups!
Made from a block of wood, four wheels, and a full bottle, you will race your competitors down the sloped track on your way to victory!
We have 4 classes of racing available: 12oz, 750ml, Wine, and Growler, and all beers need to be of the craft, home brew, and/or local variety.
Rules and Registration will be included with the race kits. Bring your registration forms & checkbook the day of the race. Why a check book you ask? Because there will be a Silent Auction with many great items to bid on. (If you have anything you would like to donate to the auction, please contact me as soon as possible.)

Sponsor Beerwood Derby
Attention Sponsors! Come and sponsor a great event with an even greater cause.
The Beerwood Derby is a fundraiser for Boy Scout Troop #1 and is similar to the Pinewood Derby….. Except for grownups.
Cars are raced in four divisions: 12 ounce, 750 ml, Growler, and the new Wine Class. Some assembly required.
You attach a full bottle of local brew/wine to your car made of reclaimed wood (thank you Wood from the Hood)
and race them down the 60ft race track at the speed of light Beer going through your bladder.
There are five different sponsorship levels…
Let’s talk, and see if your name is at the top of the track
4 Cars, 8 Passes, 4 T-Shirts + your logo on the track
2 Cars, 4 Passes, 2 T-Shirts + your logo on the track
1 Car, 2 Passes, 1 T-Shirt + your logo on the track
Silent Auction Donation
Or you can donate an item for our Silent auction (any item with a retail value of over $50 you will receive a limited edition Beerwood derby tee shirt).
If you choose to help sponsor this event, sponsorship information, payment and logo must be received by March 14.
All sponsors will have their company name on the track on race day.
Looking to Create a Beerwood Derby for Your Next Fundraising Event?
If you are looking for a fun way to raise money for your club or charity, check this out!
Most of us have participated or at least heard of the Pinewood Derby races that Cub Scouts worldwide participate in.
Now there is a version for adults that you can run as a fun event or a fundraiser. (We suggest this to be an adult only event.)
What you need
The car kits include everything you need to race. Basic body, wheels, axels, attachment pins, assembly instructions, and a complete set of rules are included in each kit.
Kits come in the 12oz class, the 750ml class, and the growler class.
Put together per the instructions or modified within the rules, the cars are great fun to build and race. Be creative! The track can be built with our plans, purchased or rented from us.
